A seasonal commercial snow agreement sets the service plan for a defined winter period. Review the actual proposal for your property; the label “seasonal” does not by itself tell you what visits, materials or additional work are included.
Define the Covered Areas
Identify parking lots, access roads, loading areas, sidewalks, entrances, steps and ramps. Attach a site map where practical, showing priorities and approved snow-placement zones.
Review Service and Pricing Terms
- Season dates and service triggers.
- Included visits or limits and return-visit expectations.
- Salt and de-icing areas, materials and charges.
- Snow storage, relocation and hauling allowances.
- Billing schedule, exclusions and authorization for additional work.
Agree on Communication
List the property manager, storm contact and on-site contact. Confirm access arrangements, operating priorities, visit documentation and how changes to the site are reported.
Compare the Written Scope
Compare proposals on the same areas and service assumptions. A snow service does not guarantee that every hazard is eliminated or that a property will remain open in every storm.
